The Boar’s Nest tells the true story of Sue Brewer, the woman whose tiny 1960s Nashville apartment became the unlikely birthplace of outlaw country, hosting Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson, and other young misfits before they were icons. As LINE PRODUCER, my job was to help recreate that chaotic, intimate magic in the studio. With Mandy Moore embodying Sue, we built a tight workflow that kept performances polished, immediate, and alive Every production choice was designed to drop listeners straight onto Sue’s living room floor, right where it all began.
