MOTEL 66 NEW WORKS PLAY FESTIVAL

Motel 66 is a new play festival at The Group Rep featuring a collection of original short works, all inspired by the iconic Americana of Route 66. In 2021, at the height of COVID, we reimagined the entire festival for an outdoor stage, transforming a challenging moment into a creative opportunity. The result was a vibrant, fresh-air theatrical experience that brought audiences together safely and became a major success for the season.

As producer, I oversaw all logistics of this unique outdoor production from coordinating playwrights, directors, cast, and crew to managing safety protocols, audience flow, schedules, and technical needs in an unconventional venue. The outcome was a seamless, community-powered event that proved live theatre could thrive even in uncertain times.
